    [Akwesasne Mohawk Territory, New York, November 22, 2021] - It is with great pleasure to announce that, effective November 16, 2021, Tru Bloom LLC became the first licensed adult use cannabis cultivator in Akwesasne Mohawk Territory. Owner Vance Thompson, a member of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, in partnership with Native Nations Cannabis, is looking forward to setting a high bar in Akwesasne and beyond as market leaders in providing adult-use cannabis and cannabis products.

    Thompson, a citizen of the Mohawk Nation, is the grandson of the late former chief Paul Thompson, whom was well-known for being a strong resilient leader and businessman of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe. Chief Thompson passed on these attributes and legacy to his family and his grandchildren. Thompson chooses to honor his late grandfather by taking a page out of his book: “to exercise our sovereign rights through commerce and economic development throughout Indian Country.” Tru Bloom’s goal is to help provide the Mohawk tribal community with economic stability and strengthen its ability to thrive.

    Tru Bloom would like to thank the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe for allowing this opportunity. Tru Bloom is also very proud and excited to be working in partnership with Native Nations Cannabis, a limited liability company owned and operated by the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe.
